Orthopaedic beds for dogs are made from high quality foam. These beds are a lot harder than your traditional pet beds( the soft cushioned types). Who can use this bed? Its best suited for senior aging dogs. It work well with dogs with joint related issues ( HD, Arthritis and so on) Why are these beds hard? These beds are made so to avoid the paws to sink in. If the paws sink in the bed, it makes it diffuse for the dog to get up with already weaker joints and thus putting additional pressure on the joints i.e. more pain. What do you get? A flat mattress wrapped in a non-removable liner cover( not removable) and A removable cotton cover. Add-On’s as selected: Bolsters- if selected, then you get a bed + 3 bolsters and a cotton cover Spare cover- if selected, then you get as per the choices made ( Cotton cover/waterproof cover). Spare covers are made accordingly as per the bed selected- flat or with bolsters What sizes works for you? Large fits large to extra large sized dogs. Size of the mattress - 36 x 48 x 2.75" ; Bolsters are placed along the bed,Height of the Bolsters - 6" How do we maintain this? The removable cover should be washed every now and then. The bed should be shown some sun twice-thrice a year.
