Les Bains Guerbois 1979 New Wave

1979, another night at Les Bains Douches and another young English band on stage. Depeche Mode, OMD and Joy Division all played there, and Ian Curtis was photographed on that stage the same year. New Wave is that crowd: cold synths, punk energy, and the question of whether it's a dark or a cheerful view of the world. Could be both. Peppermint and spearmint hit first, with aldehydes giving them a cool, almost metallic shimmer. Underneath sits a dark, earthy iris, then cedar, sandalwood, amber woods and musk.
