Chikuseiko Charcoal Incense Plum Tree

Elegant without being perfumed, comforting without feeling heavy. Created by KOHCHOSAI KOSUGA, a Japanese bamboo house established in 1898, this incense is part of the Chikuseikō collection. Made using bamboo charcoal and plant-derived fragrance ingredients, it produces remarkably little smoke, allowing the scent to unfold gently rather than filling the room with that familiar, heavy incense smell. There's a beautiful Japanese tradition called Kōdō, the art of appreciating incense, often described as 'listening to fragrance'. Rather than simply scenting a space, it's about paying attention to the smallest nuances. Plum Tree captures something of that philosophy.
