ON SALE – Appledore Fibre Tops Discontinued Shades

With the update to our Appledore range, these shades are being discontinued. These are the last tops we have, available at a reduced price. When they're gone, they're gone! For our Appledore fibre tops, we have blended Devon Closewool, a moorland breed with rustic and grippy fibre, with lustrous and characterful Romney, and our old favourite, the gloriously bouncy Exmoor Blueface. The resulting roving is packed full of woolly bounce and a smattering of lustre, the perfect canvas for Appledore’s range of playful modern shades. Yarn spun from these fibre tops will have a wonderfully warm woolly halo and a full-bodied texture – perfect for everyday wear, be that in garments or accessories. The fibre composition has the bonus of increased grip and texture from the more rustic breeds, making it one of our grippiest bases. It’s a perfect tops blend to try if you’re a beginner or still gaining in confidence and refining your craft. Made from fibre sourced right here in the West Country, our Appledore blend encompasses our ethos of making local, uniquely heathered yarns and tops. The tweedy shades are all named after different varieties (or cultivars if you want to get all fancy) of cider apples that we have here in the West Country.
