Vintage US World War II US Navy Oilskin Foul Weather Fur Lined Coat Size 46

Here is a great vintage example of a 40's US Navy winter coat. The exterior is made of black oilskin that is in good condition for its age. The collar is lined with brown mohair and the coat is lined with sheep skin. The oilskin body has two diagonal slit pockets on the chest as well as two lower horizontal pockets. Pocket openings are outlined in brown leather. The two horizontal pocket on each side also have oilskin flaps. Front is double-breasted with six buttons arranged in two rows of three. The oilskin shows very surface wear but without any rips or tears. Interior body has a sheepskin lining. Sleeves are lined with a gray blanket like material with knit cuffs. Bottom center of the inside coat has a printed label that reads “NAVY DEPARTMENT – CONTRACT NXs 9628 – SIZE 46.” - Vintage US World War II US Navy Oilskin Foul Weather Fur Lined Coat - Size 46 - Cotton black oilskin - Sheepskin lining - 6 buttons - Two lower front pockets - Two chest pockets - Made in USA All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured from the top of shoulder of the arm to the end of the cuff.
