Wesfalia Plaid Fabric A classic plaid with the durability to match its heritage. Wesfalia Plaid is a 100% polyester, tricot-backed fabric made in Germany, engineered for demanding upholstery and automotive applications while staying versatile enough for home decor and craft projects. The 2.50" x 2.50" plaid repeat delivers timeless, tailored style, while the tricot backing adds stability and helps the fabric hold its shape under regular use. With a Wyzenbeek double rub count exceeding 100,000, this is a heavyweight-performance textile built for high-traffic seating and surfaces that need to look sharp for years. At 1.5 lbs per yard, it has substantial hand and body without added stretch, making it easy to work with for upholstery, seating, and structured craft applications. Wesfalia Plaid is UV stabilized for 200 hours to help resist fading from sun exposure, and it meets key flammability standards including CA-117 Section E, UFAC Class 1, and MVSS-302 — making it a solid choice for both residential and automotive interiors. Care: Water-based stains respond well to water-based cleaning agents; for oil-based stains, use a solvent cleaner.
