Watching A Dream

Devon shot this on a camera he built himself — splicing a smaller film format into a larger body, an old trick most photographers have heard about and almost nobody actually does. A group of surfers stands at the water's edge on an LA beach, boards still under their arms, waiting on the next set. The frame is doing two things at once: documenting the people and the gear used to document them.
