3 years ago, I was in Nepal to meet with local artisans because I wanted to learning about hand-knotted rugs, a tradition dating back thousands of years. Citipati, the dancing skeletons of Tibetan Buddhism, reminding us that death is not the end, only part of the dance. Hand knotted over the course of a month by Tibetan refugees in Kathmandu. Each rug is: – Hand knotted making each one unique – Takes one craftsman around 60 days to weave one piece – Made from 100% natural sheep’s wool – Extra thick pile 32 x 42 inches size The devastation of covid wasn’t the sole reason I wanted to work with these artisans. I also believe that this tradition may not exist in 25 years. Note: Orders will take 3 months to be delivered
