Charm Packs Tapestry // No. 0 A0:D4

Expanding on Gossamer's larger-scale intarsia-knit tapestries made in 2024, these new art objects push the limits of hand-powered mark-making in knitted formats. This series of work is called "Intarsiacore." This new series of art objects is based on outputs from an interactive Javascript project called Tigerbob Charm Packs. The design deconstructs and reassembles my pixel art into small repeating tiles arranged on a larger grid. Each output is deterministic. The design of this specific tapestry is based on the coordinates A0:D4 on Token #0, shown here. It features abstracted purple florals with green, orange, and pink accents. Handmade by Gossamer in New York Method: Hand-loomed, intarsia technique, manual. Cashmere, cotton, & wool tapestry on wool, wood, hardware 11” x 11” x 2".
