In these beginner art classes, young artists will be exposed to the elements of art through a variety of different projects throughout spring. Artists have the opportunity to explore drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture and more! The goal for this class is to help young artists work to further develop their fine motor, concentration, decision making and problem solving skills while building confidence and learning new ways they can express themselves. Parents, siblings, and caregivers are welcome for some parallel play! Sign up for individual classes that fit your artist's schedule and interests. All abilities are welcome! Supplies are included. April 14th - Lego Printing Artists will create their own block printing stamp using legos and their creativity. April 21st - Quilling Artists will learn how to roll strips of paper into different shapes to create a tactile 3D piece. April 28th - Stained Glass Paper Collage Artists will create a stained glass style drawing inspired by Romero Britto to fill in tusing cut paper. May 5th & May 19th - Ceramic Creatures Artists will create a small ceramic creature using slip and score methods 5/5 and return 5/19 to glaze their creatures. Finished pieces will be available for pick up within two weeks. May 12th - Abstract Shape & Color Artists will use markers, colored pencils, or pastels to create abstract art based on provided images. May 26th - Circles & Dots Artists will create art inspired by the picture book " The Dot." June 2nd - Eco Sculpting Inspired by the Trolls of Thomas Dambo: Artists will create 3D sculptures using various clean "garbage" items. June 16th - B&W Hatch Landscapes Artists will use white markers, pens, pencils, chalk and pastels on black paper to create a landscape inspired by Van Gogh's The Starry Night. Cancellations made 7 or more days before the start of class are eligible for a refund minus processing fees. Processing fees are $5 for classes under $100 and $10 for classes $100 or more. Cancellations made less than 7 days before class begins are non-refundable, unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist or by another participant. If a participant cannot attend, registration may be transferred to another person with prior approval from the studio. If a class is canceled by the studio, participants will receive a full refund, including any processing fees, or may choose to transfer enrollment to another class. Because class sizes are limited and materials are prepared in advance, no refunds or credits will be given for missed classes once a class has begun.
