An introduction to Lino Cut & Printmaking
Lino Cut Printmaking Date & Time: 6–9pm Location: Mustard & Gray Studio Condover Using traditional lino cutting techniques, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into beautiful hand-printed designs. You will design your own single colour print. This relaxed, hands-on session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who’ve dabbled before. You’ll leave with your own lino block, a stack of prints, and the know-how to keep printing at home. If you’re someone who enjoys learning by making, this is a lovely place to start. You’ll leave with the skills and confidence to keep experimenting with linocut at home — or come back and dive into one of our colour-focused workshops later on. What’s included? All materials and tools provided Step-by-step tuition in lino cutting and printing Tea, coffee, and treats to keep you fuelled FAQs Do I need any experience? Not at all – this workshop is beginner-friendly. We’ll guide you through the process from start to finish. What should I bring? Just yourself and maybe an idea or two for your design. Inspiration will also be provided on the night. Will I get to keep my lino block? Yes! You’ll take home your carved lino so you can keep printing more cards at home. How many prints will I make? You’ll have time to print a small set (around 2-3 prints), but the block you make can be used again and again. What if I’m not very arty? That’s totally fine – the beauty of lino printing is in its bold, simple marks. You’ll be surprised what you can create!
