SHALLOTS - French Red - Large - SPECIAL

French Red shallots - LARGE - culinary or planting. These bigguns contain 2-3 plantable bulbs in each, once broken up . Ideally plant in May or June for best results. Like garlic, one shallot bulb will yield 4-7 large new shallots by Christmas time. Use our Guano and Bulb Blend , or basically follow our garlic planting instructions, but only bury the shallot bulb half to 2/3 in soil, roots down, leaving the tip poking out. Space these 150mm apart. Harvest ,dry and store as you would garlic. Price is per bulb of 50-65mm size.
