Chilopsis linearis ‘Bubba’ – Desert Willow

The lightly fragrant flowers emerge all summer long and its leaves are deciduous in very cold temperatures but remain in mild climates. Waterwise and firewise, Chilopsis is a US Native tree originating in the southwest including California. Desert Willow is an excellent choice for dry gardens and xeric landscapes. It is susceptible to root rot if not given adequate drainage. Sometimes also called Desert Catalpa.
