Turgite specimen
Turgite is a natural, shimmering trade and historical name for an iridescent mixture of microcrystalline hematite and goethite. Scientists do not recognize turgite as a standalone mineral species. It is officially classified as a mixture of iron oxides (hematite and goethite).
