What makes it an exceptional model is the EasyConnect technology: thanks to the light's built-in CANbus relay and the included XBB Dongle control unit, installation only requires connecting the light's power and ground wires to the battery, the excitation current for the light comes wirelessly via a reader installed in the OBD port. The panel is equipped with two different power modes, of which the full-power PowerBoost® mode shoots an incredible 16492 lumens of light output and a wide combined light beam, which is measured to carry up to 764 meters @ 1 lux. In addition to the unlimited power mode, the light has a more moderate power mode for road traffic use and for poor road conditions, when used, the light does not reflect back into the driver's eyes from, for example, snow, rain or fog, but penetrates capricious visual obstacles better than high light output. In addition, the light has an orange or white parking light, which runs elegantly along the bottom edge of the panel and also forms the cat's eyes that have become a trademark of the Panther series on the edges of the panel. The panel can be turned on and off, and its power mode and the color of the parking light can be easily changed via the XBB phone application. Note! Although the light is designed specifically for cars with CAN-controlled lights (where the excitation cannot be traditionally tapped from the bulb's power cable), it can be installed in all vehicles with an OBD-II port. The light is compatible with 95% of car models The Panther S540 EasyConnect auxiliary light is controlled wirelessly using the XBB Dongle controller (included in the package) that is inserted into the car's OBD-II port. The dongle reads the high beam signal from the port and sends it to the smart relay built into the light. The dongle and the relay communicate wirelessly, so there is no need to run any wires between the engine room and the car interior. For installation, you need the XBB application that can be downloaded to your phone, through which the auxiliary light can be controlled. The Panther S540's beam consists of a rectangular, wide main beam, which is the perfect combination of both range and width. The beam opens up right from the front and illuminates the entire road from side to side, while the brighter main spot in the middle of the beam directs the light far ahead. In the vertical direction, the beam is softly defined, as is typical of other Panther series lights, which means that the light is not wasted in the sky, and there is no blinding light ball in front of the front. The beam height has been optimized to be sufficient for hilly terrain and for roof installations of heavy equipment. All Panther series lights are equipped with a neutral, road-optimized 5000K color temperature, which makes it easier to see terrain shapes and obstacles, for example. In addition, the neutral color temperature reduces eye strain and reduces glare from cool shades, e.g. snow cover. In addition to excellent lighting properties, Panther lights are protected from water and dust according to the highest possible protection rating (IP69K), and their practically unbreakable Lexan polycarbonate lens and strong aluminum frame with a special coating guarantee excellent durability against UV radiation, corrosion, chemicals and varying weather conditions. The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly noticeable in use - PowerBoost mode is significantly more efficient and should not be used when driving in normal road traffic, only off-road. The light comes with both traditional end feet and width-adjustable rail brackets below the light, which allow for versatile installation solutions.
