Kos by JLL Pearl

I found this amethyst in a lot I was not looking for. Its colour sat between lilac and grey — more restrained than expected. That quality stopped me. It took several tries before I knew what to build around it. Because the stone felt cold, I chose the ruby red halo as a response. This amethyst ruby woven bracelet took time to find its shape. The stone and the halo The central stone is an emerald-cut amethyst, pale lilac with a slight grey undertone. Around it, a halo of pink topaz sits in a gold-tone setting. The colour contrast is deliberate — cool violet against warm red. Because both stones have facets, they each catch the light differently. Together, they draw the eye without competing. The cord I wove the cord by hand, using threads in blue, green, violet and gold. The colours echo the stones without repeating them exactly. The sliding clasp also adjusts to fit any wrist size. It holds without a buckle — practical for everyday wear. Since this is a unique piece, I chose every detail specifically for this combination. Like the stone, this cord exists only once. This is a one-of-a-kind creation. Once sold, I will not remake Kos — not with this stone, not in this colour, not in this combination. That is the rule I follow for every unique model I create.
