L.L Bean - Cable Knit Stripe Pullover
Iconic American heritage brand L.L.Bean was founded in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean in Freeport, Maine. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was inspired to create the "Maine Hunting Shoe" after returning from a hunting trip with soaked and sore feet. The original design of the "Bean Boot" combined a leather upper with a rubber bottom, addressing the problem of wet feet in the outdoors. Born on the rugged Aran Islands off Ireland's west coast in the late 1890s, cable knit sweaters were originally hand-woven from unwashed, untreated sheep wool. This all-cotton version is adorned with stripes of dark navy and indigo; it features a classic fit.
