We came across a collection of antique brass keyhole escutcheons in varying styles — Louis XV rococo scrollwork, acanthus leaf, gothic arch, and cartouche forms — each a different design pulled from different pieces of French furniture over the years. The right replacement hardware for an antique armoire, desk, or commode, or framed together as a small wall grouping. Each one is a miniature of the decorative vocabulary of French furniture making.
