An exceptionally rare pair of Fendi Spring/Summer 2017 runway heels, presented on the house’s Milan runway. Designed as a hybrid between a sandal and knitted sock boot, the pair features a soft grey technical-knit upper with intricate pointelle detailing, delicate multicolor floral embroidery and cream bow motifs. Cutouts throughout the foot and ankle create the collection’s distinctive deconstructed sock silhouette, while the open toe and slingback heel keep the design light and feminine. The upper extends high around the ankle with ribbed striped cuffs and decorative cream lacing, finished with a sculptural wood-effect striped block heel. The juxtaposition of athletic knitwear with romantic embroidery was a defining element of Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2017 footwear.
