The 9188S was not made by shrinking a standard recliner. The lift mechanism itself was rebuilt at a smaller scale, so the seat measures 20.5 inches across, 18 inches deep and 18 inches high — proportions a full-size chair cannot reach no matter how it is upholstered.Fit is what decides whether this is your chair. The frame is rated to 300 lbs, but capacity is not the question here — size is. This one is built for smaller bodies: Height roughly 4'7" to 5'5" Hips up to about 18 inches Weight up to roughly 120 lbs If that describes you, a smaller chair will do something a larger one cannot: hold your lower back where it actually sits. In an oversized recliner the lumbar curve lands in a gap and the support never reaches you.
