Bake-O-Glide® Solid Induction Hob Protector

The Bake-O-Glide® Solid Induction Hob Protector is the most protective mat in our induction range. It is built on the same tough black mesh as our other protectors, but the surface is sealed with a clear silicone coating so it works as a solid barrier. Spills, splashes and boil-overs sit on top of the mat instead of reaching the glass, then wipe away in seconds. New and exclusive to Bake-O-Glide. Also available in Original and Edged designs. This protector is designed for use while cooking on an induction hob. It allows compatible induction cookware to operate normally while helping to protect the glass surface beneath. Suitable Use Suitable for induction hobs only. Sealed surface prevents spills and splashes passing through to the glass beneath. Suitable for everyday cookware, including heavy cast-iron pans. Helps protect against scratches, spills, and stains. Heat resistant up to 250°C. Sealed Solid Surface Unlike an open-mesh protector, the Solid version has a clear silicone coating that seals the entire surface. Spills, splashes and boil-overs remain on top rather than passing through to the glass beneath, making the clean-up quicker and easier. It provides the fullest protection in the Bake-O-Glide® induction range while retaining the same low-profile appearance and heat resistance up to 250°C Because the surface and edges are sealed, this version is supplied in fixed pre-cut sizes rather than trimmed to fit. For Induction Hobs Only Do not use on ceramic, gas, radiant or solid-plate hobs. If the cooking zone glows red or orange when switched on, it is not an induction hob and this protector is not suitable. Using this protector on a non-induction hob is misuse and will not be eligible for a replacement. Cleaning & Care The sealed surface makes the Solid the easiest protector in the range to clean. Because nothing gets trapped in a mesh, there are three simple ways to keep it clean: Everyday wipe: Wipe with warm water, mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth or sponge. The protector can normally be cleaned without removing it from the hob. Full clean: Remove the protector, rinse under warm water and clean with mild washing-up liquid. Rinse thoroughly and dry before returning it to the hob. Deep clean: soak with a dishwasher tablet in boiling water for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and air dry. Allow the hob and protector to cool completely before cleaning. For longest life, hand wash rather than using a dishwasher, and store the mat rolled or flat. For best results and to keep your hob looking like new, many customers also use HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong, Mr. Eco Cellulose Sponge Cloths, and Spontex Microfibre Kitchen Cleaning Kit. Care Tips Do not fold or crease the mat. Clean without scrapers or harsh brushes. Keep away from open flames or heating elements. White spots can appear over time.
