Overview The Formetco Kernmantle Hoisting Rope provides maximum strength with low stretch for hauling up billboard vinyl’s, vinyl hardware, tools, and even extensions. The low stretch and bounce properties and high-moisture resistance allow this rope to operate consistently in wet and dry, hot, or cold conditions — it isn’t a fair-weather-only piece of equipment. Kernmantle Construction The polyester material and construction give this rope extremely high resistance to chemicals, UV, and abrasion, along with great overall handling and gear compatibility thanks to the firm smooth sheath, which helps the rope feed and grip consistently through hoisting hardware. Visibility and Hardware This rope comes standard in white with hi-vis green tracers, making it easy to spot against a structure or the sky while it’s in use, and is available in 4 different lengths. All come with durable plastic eyes on both ends and aluminum twist lock snap hooks, giving a ready-to-use connection point for hoisting loads without needing to tie or splice the rope in the field. Its low elongation figures — 2.8% at 10% of minimum breaking strength and 1.6% at 300 lb. — mean a loaded hoist stays close to where it was set rather than stretching and settling under weight. The rope is manufactured to meet ANSI Z359.15-2014, and is available in 50, 75, 100, or 125 ft. lengths so crews can match the rope to the height of the structures they work on.
