Organic Black Assam Tea (FBOP)

A malty organic delight from India Every good cup of English Breakfast starts with Black Assam leaf. It’s the quintessential black tea – rich and malty, with a tart finish and wonderful amber colour. There’s a reason Black Assam finds its way into teapots all over the world: it’s stocked with caffeine, antioxidants and vitamin B1, and that brisk, peppy flavour makes a smashing mid-morning cuppa. This batch is our certified organic, FBOP grade (‘flowery broken orange pekoe’). It’s a little coarser than the BOP grade, with occasional leaf tips and a sturdy, mellow profile. Try blending with Keemun, Darjeeling or Ceylon for a more complex English Breakfast. Origin: India. Ingredients: Organic Assam Black Tea. Aroma: Sweet and malty Serving Suggestion: Add 1-2 teaspoons into a cup (250ml) with hot water (90-95ºC) and brew for 1-2 minutes. Strain and try.
