Gary is obviously curious about all hype, and he has even considered prepping his ship for a voyage, but he knows in his heart there's no place like home. Besides, if he chooses to live on Earth, who's going to look after his space plants? We've had our own ideas of how critters from outer space may look for a long time, but the idea of green aliens wasn't mainstream until the 1920's through the 50's, with science fiction comics and pulp magazines featuring cosmic adventurers encountering the classic, 'little green men'. The trope was cemented in colorful splendor, with comic book covers featuring epic battles with green aliens and heroes such as Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers. The idea of aliens has evolved considerably over the years, and their colors and features have evolved. But fans will always have a special place in their hearts for the classic green alien.
