Vintage, 1970s emerald and diamond engagement ring
Provenance Made during the 1970s, this emerald and diamond ring has such flattering proportions! Set to centre with an oval-cut emerald with distinctive blue hues which makes it captivating to turn under light. Claw-set in an open-back setting and flanked by four diamonds on either side, eight in total. Set one above another, the round brilliant-cut diamonds are also claw-set and from each stone flows a yellow gold line, four in total, which meet to form the shoulders of the ring. The gallery is partially closed with slender linear open-work to let light shine through the central emerald. The shoulders taper to form the solid gold band.
