Antique Rocking Settle

An unusual antique rocking settle dating to the 19th century. Crafted entirely from solid thick-plank hardwood likely pine or fruitwood with a heavily weathered, authentic patina. Unlike standard individual rocking chairs, it incorporates a wide, long-slat design integrated onto two elongated curved wooden rockers at the base with oversized scrollwork arms showing a tight spiral. Benches of this specific nature were widely popular across Scandinavia (particularly Sweden) and Eastern/Central Europe during the late 19th to early 20th century.
