Cartoonneros/Pure Evil collab - Tall Basquiat

multilayered stencil spray paint and gesso on canvas produced during his London residency at Pure Evil Gallery in January 2023 Cartoonneros was born in 1980 in Buenos Aires City, Argentina. At the age of 5, his family moved to Ushuaia -the southernmost city in the world- where he developed his love for art. He spent the cold winters of this extreme of Patagonia climate (with temperatures below -20ºC) drawing and painting as he grew up. In this city, he got a degree in Fine Arts and made his first murals and street art interventions. In 2000, he returned to Buenos Aires City, where he continued painting while studying Psychology and Music (his other passions).
