Perseid the Stargazing Robot

Perseid was constructed as a stargazing companion and was named after the meteor shower that fell on his birthday. He lays back, pointing up at the stars, his trusty telescope nearby. He appears calm and content, his robotic eyes staring up at the night sky. Perseid is made primarily from Maple but a few of his parts have been swapped out. His upper left leg is now made from Padauk and his upper right arm is made from Sapele. Assorted gears wind their way down his torso. All of these parts have been intricately hand-carved to fit together. His telescope is turned from Walnut. Perseid, the telescope and the base he rests on are three separate pieces.
