Quiet Land

Have you ever been in the wilderness alone, and stood quietly for a period of time to just listen? Born, raised, and living most of my life in the city, it's hard to describe that almost tangible sense of peace, even awe, experienced from just pausing and realizing that there's no background noise from people, traffic, machines, etc around you. It's just you, perhaps a slight breeze and stillness. It's almost spiritual. That feeling is what I strive to create in my art. If you see Lawren Harris in this painting it's not just you.
