After school sensory input + heavy work + creativity? Yes, please! No hidden meaning in this one; Clay Creation is all about experimenting and creating with clay. For this process art session we use all natural air dry clay and our hands (no potters wheel or kiln) along with artifacts from various global cultures as inspiration to bring our creativity to life. The Full Scoop 4 week sessions Mondays 3:30p-5p All materials, clay, paint, and glazes included Afternoon snack to fuel our brains included Designed for ages 5-12 years old Mixed age session with various levels of complexity incorporated based on skill and desire This is a process art session to explore and create with clay. Session Flow: 3:30p : Arrival get settled 3:30p-4p: Afternoon snack while we explore the cultural inspiration of the week (examples of inspiration include: works of art, traditions, celebrations, patterns, colors, as well as artifacts from the culture when possible) 4p - 4:45p: Create 4:45p - 5p: Share and celebrate each others work 5p: Pick Up Optional Add On: 5p - 6p: Open Create Kids can keep working with clay or pick a new medium as they enjoy more creative freedom.
