Then looking closer, we couldn’t help but notice something extraordinary powerful about the original Divine Mercy image. If you look closely where Jesus’ heart is, where his hand unveils His heart to you, the rays of light form a small invisible circle, much like the Eucharistic host we receive at Mass. We invite you to look closely at the image in this new light, seeing that Christ in the Divine Mercy image is showing us that His Heart is fully in the gift of the Eucharist. We designed this month’s t-shirt to reflect this aspect of the original drawing and help draw us into the fact that it is from the very heart of God that we receive mercy, grace, and peace.
