Gurkha medium mortar team

Get the mortar ranged in! The 3-inch mortar was Britain's standard 'medium' mortar throughout the war, used by Commonwealth nations to good effect to provide lethal indirect antipersonnel fire in support of their infantry. Able to drop rounds onto the enemy at far closer ranges and with greater tactical flexibility than larger artillery pieces, mortars accounted for a huge percentage of casualties during the war. In the Far East, its relatively light weight and ease of transport made it invaluable in jungle warfare. In Bolt Action, the Medium Mortar team is one of the cornerstones of the Heavy Weapons Platoon, alongside the Medium Machine Gun team. Capable of dropping high explosives on the heads of enemy troops, it's a great tool for digging enemy units out of cover. This kit pairs the plastic British heavy weapons sprue with three characterful Warlord Resin crew, and not only builds the mortar team itself, but gives you plenty of extra weaponry that can be combined with the plastic Gurkha sprues to create even more units!
