Spectacular Late 1940's Pauline Lake Sun Goddess Embroidered Evening Gown / SM
๐ A B O U T An exceptional example of mid-century resort couture, this late 40's early 50's ivory rayon chiffon gown was sold exclusively through the Royal Hawaiian Hotel boutique on Waikiki Beach, one of the most prestigious retail venues in postwar Hawaii. The strapless boned bodice is densely worked in gold metallic thread embroidery โ a continuous swirling pattern covering the entire bodice surface, punctuated by five bold sunburst motifs. The bodice edges are finished with a border of tight gold polka dot trim. A vertical line of the same trim descends the center front and back of the skirt, and scattered smaller medallions dot the chiffon skirt. Metal zipper up the back center; fully lined in ivory taffeta. Perfect for a tropical wedding or evening gala. In very good condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. โ๏ธ M E A S U R E M E N T S Bust: up to 34" Waist: up to 28" Hips: open Total Length: 58" Fits like a small to medium Label: Pauline Lake Material: rayon chiffon, metallic gold thread Condition: very good overall with minor signs of wear.
