One-on-One Beginner's DYE-IT-YOURSELF Workshop: Natural Dyeing on Wool with Camomile

This workshop consists of 3 sessions. Your online booking confirms the first session, and the remaining sessions will be scheduled with your instructor as you progress. If you love colour, nature and yarn, this is the workshop for you! Join Asad in this unique workshop and discover the art of natural dyeing using locally sourced chamomile, potassium alum, and premium wool yarn. This workshop introduces you to one of the oldest textile traditions, where botanical materials are transformed into beautiful, naturally dyed yarns. In this workshop, you will learn the following: How to create a safe working environment for natural dyeing. How to prepare undyed wool yarn before dyeing. How to mordant wool using potassium alum. How to extract colour from locally sourced chamomile. How to dye wool yarn using natural botanical dyes. How to rinse and care for naturally dyed yarn. Troubleshooting, including a 15-minute Q&A session. Included in the Workshop: Two skeins of 100% superwash merino wool yarn. Locally sourced chamomile, potassium alum, and all materials required during the workshop. Certificate of completion. You will also be provided with mandatory safety materials and utensils at the workshop, which are not to take home and must remain in the outlet. Prep before Workshop: Dress appropriately; don't wear anything you don't want to be stained, and avoid flowing clothes. Tie up long hair. Don't wear dangling jewellery.
