Aurora Australis is a Tasmanian single malt from Hellyers Road Distillery in Burnie, on Tasmania's north-west coast. The distillery takes its name from the pioneering route through Tasmania's north-west and has built its whisky around locally sourced ingredients, pure Tasmanian water and the island's cool maritime climate. The whisky reflects Hellyers Road's approach to Tasmanian single malt, where careful distillation and maturation allow the natural malt character to develop alongside fruit, oak and gentle spice. Its name, inspired by the Southern Lights, is fitting for a whisky shaped by Tasmania's position at the southern edge of the world.
