Vintage 1940s Lady Hamilton Floral Soup Bowls by Royal Jackson - Twelve Available - Each Sold Separately
{HISTORY} Beautifully detailed, this pink, red, and grey floral soup bowl set was made by Vogue Ceramic Industries for Royal Jackson Fine China in the late 1940s. A subsidiary of Royal China, Vogue Ceramic Industries was based in the Bronx, New York, while Royal China was based in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania, but location aside, these two companies had one thing in common - producing beautiful, finely crafted dishware for the retail market. Featuring the Berkeley shape, a floral center, and matte gold stripes, the color palette of this Lady Hamilton pattern by Vogue and Royal Jackson offered year-round appeal. But it was especially winsome for the winter months stretching from Christmastime through Valentine's Day, thanks to that single red rose that added a festive dose of seasonal color. Other shades in this pattern include sage, mint, olive, ice pink, blush, hawthorn, pale grey, dive grey, golden yellow, dark red, and beige. Beautifully cared for throughout their long life, this set of 12 bowls is offered individually, so that you can select the number of dishes most suited to your needs. Whether you are planning a big holiday dinner or love to mix and match unique vintage dishware from all decades, the Lady Hamilton pattern offers lots of possibilities in the tablescape department whne it comes to creative displays. Closely mirroring Royal Jackson's Lord Hamilton and Lady Lee patterns, both of which feature the same floral centerpiece but contain different detailing on the gold around the rim, the Lady Hamilton pattern blends so well with many other dish designs, including solid colors and simple gold and iivory sets. We also love this pattern paired with floral bouquets that match the dishware's color and floral palette. The matte gold look beautiful with candlelight too.
