Led by Merlin Erdelen of Singapore Ballet, this exclusive introductory experience takes you beyond ballet positions and into the physical training that forms the foundation of every dancer's practice. Drawing from the conditioning methods used in professional ballet, you'll explore a carefully curated blend of mobility, strength and stabilisation training designed to create a body that moves with confidence, precision and ease. Throughout the session, you will develop strength at your body's end ranges of motion, improve joint stability and body awareness, and learn how dancers prepare their bodies to move efficiently while reducing the risk of injury. These are the same movement principles that support graceful performance, everyday movement and long-term physical resilience. If you are completely new to ballet, looking to experience a different style of movement, or wanting to build a stronger foundation for dance and fitness, this workshop offers an inspiring first step into the world of ballet through the lens of athletic performance.
