Replaces the manual winding crank, providing automatic film advance in single, continuous, and multiple-exposure modes, plus a lock/off setting. Continuous winding speed reaches approximately 0.7–0.8 frames per second. Features a Self Adjusting Interface (SAI) that calibrates the unit to each individual camera body for precise engagement. Powered by six 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries, alkaline or rechargeable NiCd/NiMH, supporting up to 3000 exposures per set. The winder integrates a remote control port and infrared receiver, compatible with the Hasselblad IR Remote Control (3044113) for wireless shutter release and winding, as well as a cabled release cord. The ergonomic housing doubles as a handgrip, aiding handheld shooting balance with the medium-format body.
