i-TECAR Therapy – Advanced Energy Transfer for Rehabilitation
Description i-TECAR Therapy – Advanced Energy Transfer for Rehabilitation i-TECAR Therapy is an advanced electrothermal therapy that transfers energy deep into the body’s tissues through capacitive and resistive electrodes. Based on the principle of controlled energy transfer, i-TECAR can be used across different tissue types and integrated into a wide range of physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications. Two Modes for Targeted Treatment Resistive Mode Designed to concentrate energy in deeper, denser tissues, making it suitable for applications involving bones, tendons, joints, and ligaments. It supports deep tissue treatment and can be applied to both localized and multi-joint areas. Capacitive Mode Focuses energy primarily on soft tissues, including muscles, fascia, viscera, and lymphatic and vascular structures. It provides a more localized treatment approach for targeted areas. In-Depth Capacitive (IDC) Mode The advanced IDC mode operates at 300 kHz and is designed to deliver energy deeper into muscular tissue. It can support the management of tissue tension and promote deep muscular revascularization and treatment of fibrotic tissue. Dynamic Capacitive Mode A dynamic scanning mode that automatically varies the treatment depth, helping therapists address different tissue levels within the treatment area while maintaining continuous movement. Four Dimensions of i-TECAR Therapy i-TECAR can be integrated into different stages of rehabilitation, from pain management to functional training. 1. Localized Pain Relief – Helps manage pain and prepare the patient for active therapy. 2. Manual Therapy Support – Can be combined with manipulation, mobilization, myofascial release (MFR), and IASTM to facilitate hands-on treatment. 3. Exercise Performance – For patients whose movement or exercise is limited by pain, i-TECAR can be incorporated into treatment to help improve comfort and facilitate exercise. 4. Rehabilitation & Functional Training – Integrate i-TECAR into functional rehabilitation to help patients perform movements that may otherwise be painful—for example, progressing toward a painful squat following PCL injury. i-TECAR Therapy – From pain relief to movement — integrate energy therapy with manual therapy and functional rehabilitation.
