RA 9049 RARE G.W.R. PADDINGTON MADE SINGLE LINE CROSSING INSTRUMENT
A superb example of a genuine Great Western Railway manufactured single line crossing instrument, this instrument was made around 1895 at the companies Paddington Signal and Telegraph depot before they relocated to Reading. This instrument was used on level crossing operated by a crossing keeper, the instrument showed which f]direction the next train was approaching and the bells signals between the two adjacent boxes were repeated on the bell. This instrument is especially rare as it has the large format makers plate!
