1.1m BOLT END: 8.3oz Tencel Denim - Mid Blue

The first time I touched tencel denim I was so surprised - it is a really special cloth. It is sooooo much softer than a cotton denim and has a more fluid drape. Essentially it's a really thick viscose in its handle. This is a 8.3oz denim, a medium weight denim, so suitable for all kinds of dressmaking. This would be absolutely perfect for denim dresses, skirts, dungarees and boilersuits. It's a super versatile cloth and because it has a softer drape than a similar weight cotton, the finished garment will be more fluid. Take advantage of our swatch service if you want to see a sample for yourself. Because of the twill weave, the fabric has a tendency to fray, so it may be advisable to finish the edges with an overlocker or zigzag stitch straight after you cut out. So the fraying is kept to a minimum. This fabric is 100% tencel, meaning it is better for the environment than standard viscose.
