The Savage 1910s/20s Work Jacket with Patina
Man, what a beauty. I get the whole distressed think isn'y my typical style, but when something this pretty comes along you don't say no. This came to me from a 5 generation dairy farm in Maine. Apparently Great-Grandfather used to help paint churches in his spare time. This jacket, with buttons stamped "The Savage H&M" remains something of a mystery, maybe one of those brands thats impossible to trace. It bears all the hallmarks of 1910s/20s manufacturing, made only with a single stitch and twin needle machine - so no bartacks etc. Tha patins is fucking amazing, beautiful paint flecks and some oil staining etc. I have very carefully given is clean to soften some of the staining - this could be done more should the new owner wish. A beautiful design reference piece. Condition As per the above, well used with wear and staining throughout. The cuffs have been shortened. Size No size tag Pit to pit 21" Shoulder to shoulder 16" Shoulder to cuff 20" Collar to hem 27"
