Cuprite - Namibia

Rare faceted cuprite from Namibia, from an old collection. Namibia produced some of the finest gem-quality cuprite during the important finds of the 1970s, and faceted examples are now seldom encountered outside older collections. Deep crimson-red with the unusually high luster cuprite is known for. Small chip along the lower edge, visible in the photos 4.98 carats / 10 x 2.5 mm Estimate: $250 - $275
