A large square silk scarf printed with four hares moving through wild grasses and oak leaves on a deep teal ground, framed by a copper ornamental border.The hares are painted rather than outlined: one olive and mid-leap, one navy and half-hidden, one green with its coat worked in fine copper strokes, each surfacing from the foliage as if the field itself had shifted. Around them the artwork is layered with seed heads, curling grasses and Art Nouveau scrollwork in blush and pale gold, so the eye keeps finding another animal in what looked like leaf.The palette stays northern and low: olive, petrol teal, muted plum and copper, with blush where the light lands.
