The farmers benefit from mineral rich volcanic soils, a 1650m elevation, and an annual rainfall of 1200mm. The factory's long term goal is to increase production through farmer training, and to establish a transparent relationship with the smallholder farmers to support sustained industry growth in Kenya to further bring premium quality and prices to the farmers.
