Arvid Boecker creates deeply textured abstract paintings by continually building up and partially stripping away layers of color, leaving behind visible echoes of time. His work balances opposing visual forces—juxtaposing solid planes of color against eroded surfaces and contrasting light with dark hues. Driven by a continuous creative cycle, Boecker uses the final state of each completed painting to guide the direction of his next work.
