A large porcelain plate created by kata kata using inban transfer printing. *The traditional copperplate transfer-printing process uses pigment known as gosu, which is printed onto Japanese paper and then transferred by hand onto the unglazed ceramic surface. As a result, variations such as blurred or broken lines, fading, uneven color, and missing areas are inherent to the process and will appear to some degree on every piece. These plates may NOT be suitable for those who prefer a perfectly uniform finish. However, these unique imperfections give each piece its own character and are part of the distinctive charm of traditional Inban-te ware. For quality assurance, we open the original packaging to inspect each item carefully before rewrapping it for shipment.
