4" Peperomia Angulata
Sometimes called beetle Peperomia for its perky fat, almond shaped leaves of many bright green shades all with three main, lime green, vein stripes striping stem to tip with extra, little, lime hooks and barbs, just like a striped bug. Angulata means "angular", which doesn't seem to describe this plant but there is a bug with that moniker, maybe that's it. Endemic to almost everywhere in the northern third of South America, it's epiphytic, liking to hang out on trees and freeload water, nutrients and light, or lithophilic, loving to scramble across rocky soil. In a pot at your home it will trail 18" or more, paired beetle leaves on pinkish green stems going on and on. Pinch for shape and root the pinches for more plants than ever. The flowers are the usual Peperomia affair, nondescript, whitish, slim spires that really don't do too much. Pet Friendly Quick Care Guide Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry.
