Vintage East West Set Onyx Cabochon Ring, Sterling Silver, size Q or just over 8, 7.8g

East West rings hold a special place in our hearts - less commonly used, and therefore way more appealing to the eye (in our opinions). This gorgeous lozenge of black onyx cabochon is tactile and fabulous. Held in a great bezel setting, that actually sits slightly off one edge - in a great handmade way. We love the shape of the ring, the strong profile and the chunk that this ring offers. Would stack like a dream - or be fabulous alone. Particulars: Size Q or just over 8 (sizeable) Weight 7.8g Width 19.40 x 8.2mm face x 4.3mm on flat band tapering to 3.8 x 0.8mm Hallmarks "925" Condition - on one side of the bezel there is lead solder marks - these are where the solder to attach the head to the ring has had some lead in it. As the patina builds around the head this will be less clear. Onyx in good condition, ring is a great chunky design, some surface scratches to metal as would be expected. Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear. Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above.
