Jewelry Make and Take: Sterling Silver Signet Ring Course Description: Create your own sterling silver signet ring in this fun metalsmithing class. You’ll observe a live demonstration of how the hydraulic press is used in jewelry making. Then choose from a variety of embossed designs to personalize your ring. Learn how to use a disc cutter, then dive into hands-on sawing, filing, soldering, and finishing. Leave class with a big and bold (or small and dainty) sterling silver signet ring. Course Note: Class meets at Salt City Smithery (3450 S Main St, Unit 44W, South Salt Lake). Special fee is for tool rental and some supplies; students will purchase more supplies in class.
